Animazement Review!
This year was probably the most fun I have had in a loooong time.

Thursday night - Pre Con
Costume: 10th Doctor

We showed up just before they passed out registration, and I talked excitedly with people in line. Once we got our badges, we wandered around, and I had a few people recognize me as the Doctor, but I did half-ass it as I had mentioned previously that my suit didn't dye. I just wore the blue pants, red shoes, my Time Lord University t-shirt and my jacket.

Friday - Day One
Costume: The Hitcher/Scarecrow

We showed up right around 9am which was the earliest we have ever made it to the con. We stormed the artist alley when it opened to buy these Pokemon hats that we knew someone was selling. I also found a crochet ood that was fucking adorable, and I needed it.

I wandered around with Kelsey as The Hitcher and her as the Spirit of Jazz.

Yeah I'm not wearing my gloves in that picture.
We got interviewed for NBC 17 as our Boosh characters, and we had a lot of people taking our pictures. Though I think most people just thought the make-up was cool and didn't really know who we were lol. Although there was this one group of people that remembered me as 10 and kept talking to me about being excited seeing me in 11 on Saturday (I don't think they ever found me though). At some point I had gone through the dealers room and bought some Doctor Who t-shirts.
Getting tired of the make-up, I went to change into Scarecrow. I had a lot of fun being all creepy. I camped out with Kelsey and Joey (who were dressed as Misty and Ash from Pokemon) as they played Pokemon cards in an alcove and had a lot of people come by to take pictures and chat with us about cards and stuff.

When it got closer to dinner time, I needed to get out of Scarecrow, so I changed into my ears and normal clothes and spent the rest of the night in that. I was going to go to the rave/dance, but as soon as I got there, the smoke from the machines made the fire alarms go off and we all got evacuated, so I just went back to the room and crashed for the night.

Saturday - Day Two
Costume: 11th Doctor/Scarecrow

Woke up early again and changed into the 11th Doctor costume. We had to be ready before 9am so we could go watch the Pokemon musical which was hilarious. The Jesse and James were probably the best part of the show. They were seriously perfect, voice, personality, costumes. The Giovanni was pretty good. The songs were quite cheesy, but I didn't really expect anything else lol.
We wandered around after that and played Pokemon cards and bought more stuff and took pictures. At one point, Kelsey came back and she and I decided to go on a cigarette hunt while Joey rested in the room, and Clare went to a Chiho Saito (Utena) workship panel. We decided to skip the cosplay panel because we were all feeling very dead and didn't feel like waiting around in lines.
When we got back, Kelsey and I found Clare and then went up to change into Little Sister and Scarecrow so we could walk around with our glow sticked costumes and pose when it was darker.

After that, we changed again, put on some glow sticks and went to the dance. I can't say I danced for long, but we did meet a guy with like 6 Pokewalkers and chatted with him and exchanged numbers so we could geek out later because he said he didn't really know anyone to geek out with. Then Clare and I lost Kelsey and our other friends and so we just went back to the room to sleep.

Sunday - Day Three
Costume: None

Really, there isn't much to say about Sunday. We wandered around for one last trip through the dealers room and the artist alley. We checked out, and we went back to the apartment.

All in all it was a fantastic weekend. We are already making plans for our hotel room and cosplays next year. At the moment, I am considering Cubone from Pokemon, Marik from YuGiOh, Yoshi from Mario, and hopefully, if my suit dyes, I will actually get to be the 10th Doctor.
